SBYD.SPACE awards Artist / Designer in Residence scholarships each year.

2024
The residencies for 2024 are in the subject areas »Bio-based Materials« and »Technology and Sustainability« and have been awarded to Robert Schnüll, Studio Lapatsch|Unger, and Lilli Malou Weinhold. The works created during the residency will be presented at our exhibition at Dutch Design Week 2024 in Eindhoven and later on our website.

2025
Supported by the Goethe-Institut Villa Kamogawa Kyoto and Museum Folkwang in Essen we are looking forward to hosting two Japanese Designers / Artists at SBYD.SPACE next year from 1 April to 30 June.
Yuri Nakai has been selected for our next year’s residency for the subject of »Repair« and Masatoshi Noguchi has been selected for the subject of »Food«.
